Carter Lane is a 2021 IF/P who attends Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers, FL.  At 6'2", 175, Carter has a very projectable frame, batting from the left side, and throwing right handed.  Carter has 6.9 60 speed, 86 IF velo, and is a multi-sport athlete, considered one of the top quarterbacks in the area.  Carter is athletic enough to play every infield position and started every game at 2B.

At the plate, Carter starts with a high hand set and has a short stride to the ball, showing a quick, short path to the ball.  Carter shows excellent hand speed through the zone and hits the ball with authority to the pull side.  Carter also shows ability to hit the ball consistently to both sides of the field and shows discipline in the strike zone.  He was the District leader in BA (.522), R (11), OBP (.625), OPS (1.234), and was 2nd in SLG (.608).

On the mound, Carter throws a fastball, curveball, and a changeup.  Carter is currently sitting between 82-84 with his fastball.  He is mechanically sound and commands the zone.
