Andy Potts 

National Director of Basketball for NLI Scouting

Andy is the National Director of Basketball for NLI Scouting.  He resides in Ft Myers, FL with his wife Lisa and daughter Addison.  Andy graduated from Florida State University and earned his Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management.  Andy grew up in a basketball family where both his grandfather and father played collegiate basketball.  His father Steve Potts played at Iowa and just recently his daughter Addison verbally committed to Missouri in the SEC! Andy also has owned a Real Estate business for the past 20 years.

Andy works with projectable basketball players nationwide using his relationships with college coaches to get prospects identified and actively recruited.  Andy has helped commit his prospects to schools including The University of North Carolina along with current NLI athletes holding offers from Ohio State, Tennessee, USC, Vanderbilt, Fordham, Illinois, St John’s, Manhattan, William & Mary, Eastern Michigan, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, California, Washington State, North Georgia, Florida Southern, and many other colleges.


Gregory Griffith

Area Basketball Scout for NLI Scouting

NLI Scouting is pleased to introduce our newest basketball scout, Gregory Griffith. He is the co-founder of the Learning Academy of Basketball (The LAB), not-for-profit organization that unites teens from diverse backgrounds in a cultural exchange for the development of leadership and basketball skills.In addition to his work in The LAB, he serves as the President and owner of Grind Time Athletics (GTA) a player development company based in the Tampa Bay Area.Previously, Coach Griffith served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Miami, Florida, where he taught a course on effective basketball coaching strategies. He also served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania and St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. Coach Griffith has built a reputation of being a strong, committed, results-oriented leader and a lifelong student of the game of basketball. Gregory’s experience and relationships with college coaches will be invaluable for prospects.
